New York Hall of Science

Mikro's newest interest is space. He and Kevin are constantly talking about the solar system, the history of the space program, and what may come next. So he was absolutely amazed to see the rockets at New York Hall of Science.

We are doing chemistry, so the molecule building activity center was a big hit.

I think his favorite part was looking at the microbes through the microscopes.

But it really is hard to choose just one favorite. The optics area is fantastic. There's a math section which intrigued us all, especially since we've been reading G is for Googol. The math demo was terrific!

We'll definitely be getting a membership to this place! And it is nowhere near as hard to get to as I thought. We have never been there before, mostly because my Brooklyn brain can't easily wrap itself around navigating Queens, but the Hall of Science is just a few blocks off the 7 train, and not a very long ride from Grand Central. I can't believe it took us so long to find out what a treasure it is!
