We went to the World Science Festival's Science Hack Day at NYU's Brooklyn engineering campus. We went to a bunch of talks on science projects such as Swabbing the City, building and acoustic map of NYC, historic research and landmark preservation using the latest technology, and Google Glass. We also got to try out Google Glass on a walk around the neighborhood and build a spectrometer that attaches to a smart phone. Lots of interesting science, and lots of fun! We also got a glimpse of the all day hack projects that teams were working on throughout the weekend.
