Fire Fair

Our village fire department holds an annual fire fair, where kids can earn a ride on a fire truck by practicing certain fire safety skills. Mikro did the stations in record time. He climbed out a window, climbed down an escape ladder, stopped, dropped and rolled, made an escape plan, and made a pretend 911 call to report an injury requiring an ambulance. We got there early, and there weren't enough kids to fill the truck, so Mom and Dad got to go along for the ride, too! Afterwards, we watched a fire extinguisher demo, met a friendly Dalmation, and Mikro had a blast on the fire truck shaped bouncy slide. A fun and educational day.
