Story & Craft Hour at the Library

We went to the library's Story and Craft hour for Henry Hudson's Shoe. The kids enjoyed the story, and making a dutch ship. They learned that three "X"es, a red white & blue horizontally striped banner, a red lion, and the letters AVOC all were symbols indicating a ship was sailing from Amsterdam for the Dutch East India Company, and decorated their wooden sailboats accordingly.
