We headed up to George's Island Park in Montrose, NY, to watch eagles. We were lucky enough to see several flying overhead and perching in the trees. (If you click to see the bigger pictures, you can tell they're eagles...) There were also several redtailed hawks, a snow goose, tons of Canada Geese, some canvasbacks and mallards, all visible from the shoreline.
Later, we hiked the trail through the surrounding woods and wetlands area. We saw lots of birds, and had fun, even though it was pretty muddy and slippery in places.
