Animal Tracks at the Nature Center

We had a great time at the Nature Center making plaster casts of animal tracks and taking a hike to look for tracks and other animal signs.

Killdeer tracks:


Coyote scat (note the undigested hair..)


Deer scat:


One child created a memory his mom will likely hold forever by collecting scat samples. We love science and nature around here, but I think I could gladly skip that particular bit of experiential learning...
