Colors of the World at the Morgan Library, Part 2

The second part of the Colors of the World program at the Morgan Library involved grinding the dry materials to make powdered pigment, and then combining them with water (and alum in some cases) to make paint. The kids also used a glue made from the swim bladder of a fish to apply gold leaf to their projects. A fun and illuminating experience!

Comparative Religions at the Cloisters

We hiked up to the Cloisters on a hot humid day to meet up with Mikro's Comparative Religions class, and the cool corridors felt so good by comparison. Mikro especially loved the crypt, the gargoyles and the painting of St. Michael slaying a weird demon.
