BAM Childrens Film Festival

bam0

When I was a kid, going to Brooklyn public schools, one of the highlights was the annual field trip to the Brooklyn Academy of Music for a play or a performance. I wanted to share that happy memory with Mikro, so I got us tickets to the BAM Childrens Film Festival. We saw The Legend of Sarila, which we all enjoyed and would recommend! (And it dovetailed nicely with Mikro's studies about shamanism and animism in his Comparative Religions class, so bonus points!)

Afterwards, we enjoyed the BAM's architecture, and wandered the Fort Greene neighborhood, where my brother went to High School at Brooklyn Tech. It's changed a lot since the early 80s!
