Friday Science at SMLI: Rockets!
The kids got to launch the rockets they built at Science Museum of Long Island. Mikro was thrilled that his went off without a hitch. And Kev got in on the fun, launching a rocket of his own after class was over. Unfortunately, it did not return safely to earth, but rather got wedged about 60 feet up a tree...

Dakota used to have a tshirt that said "Beware of the dreaded rocket eating tree." I built one rocket in my life. I spent hours hand gluing little flowers all over it to make it a very feminine rocket. I launched it straight in to a tree. That ended my rocket building career.
