Brooklyn Museum of Art-- Ancient Egypt
Our homeschool group enjoyed a program on the art of Ancient Egypt at the Brooklyn Museum. The kids looked at stautuary, reliefs, a mummy and funerary equipment, and learned about the conventions of egyptian portraiture. Then they drew themselves in the egyptian style and wrote their names in hieroglyphs.
