Mikro and I have started making some ornaments for our (eventual) Christmas tree.
We did some hippie peace & love foam ornaments from a kit from Oriental Trading Company. Then I broke out the sticky backed foam and freehand cut some of our own original designs. Mikro loves bugs, so there are a caterpillar, a butterfly (which he wants to use as the Star on the tree) and a lady bug. There's also Kev, Mikro and I as elves (or gnomes, maybe?), pipecleaner candy canes, some made with crumpled balls of tissue paper stuck onto the sticky-backed foam (the reindeer & bird)(which were surprisingly time consuming!) and some wooden dinosaur ornaments from Oriental trading, which we colored with their wood markers.
The advent calendars and the promise of yummy allergy safe goodies have got Mikro very excited for the holidays this year.
