On the Second Day of Christmas...
We had a movie marathon and watched Despicable Me, The Guardians of Ga'Hoole, and How to Train Your Dragon. Mikro also got his very first Peep-like candy-- we found him a vegan marshmallow snowman, with dairy free chocolate embellishments. And we watched the blizzard get started. We were supposed to be at my mom and dad's place, but because of the storm, we stayed home. Hope to get out there soon... At bedtime, we read a story from Jan Brett's Christmas Treasury.

Chele, have you heard of The Natural Candy Store? We had a vegan family over the other day and I wanted a treat for their son. I found this store online. THey have treats that fit ANY food allergy or preference. If you need dairy free, you tell them that and it will bring up all their dairy free products. I typed in vegan and it brought up a whole list of vegan candy. I was able to get him a cute little vegan chocolate santa and a peppermint tree.

I'll have to check them out. Thanks for the tip, Kathi! I used to find a lot of stuff at Allergy Grocer, and they disappeared, but I hear they are back. Vegan Essentials has some stuff too.
