Tuesday's Mad Science was about nature. The kids talked about animals and their senses and tried to identify different scents, then they looked at prepared slides of natural objects like skin, feathers, leaves, claws, and bone under a microscope and used a magnifier to look at things in the classroom. Mikro looked at his shirt, some string, the linoleum floor, paper with writing on it, and a dollar bill.
Afterwards, Mikro and I read some books about nature at the library. One class left next week before we break for the winter and pick thigs up again next spring...
