Aquefest Part 2: The Croton Dam

The Croton Dam on the Croton Reservoir is an amazing sight. We headed there after touring the Ossining Weir Chamber, and enjoyed visiting the Croton Gorge Park at the base of the Dam, as well as walking up the Aqueduct Trail to the top of the Dam and across. Since September 11, 2001, it is no longer open to traffic, but you can still walk or ride a bike across. Unfortuately, we got up there too late to see the special Aquefest art installation, which had already been taken down.
